2010 Netbook Releases

We can expect a whole bunch of new netbooks in the first quarter of 2010. Intel is releasing its new line of Atom Pineview processors, and netbook makers are going to rush to get onto the bandwagon. As an aside, what that means is we’ll probably see a slew of deals with sellers trying to get rid of what will become outdated models. We also foresee Windows 7 becoming the operating system standard and the eventual phasing out of XP (Vista who?).

But we digress. We’ve come upon some information about 3 great new netbook releases which will happen sometime in 2010.

  • Toshiba NB-300

Toshiba has filed papers with the FCC for its new NB-300 which seems to have a lot of similarities to its earlier model. One of the major differences is that Toshiba seems to have addressed user complaints that upgrading hardware was painful. The NB-300 is to feature easily removable panels on its underside.

  • Sony W Series update

Sony is coming out with an updated version of its W Series, and that’s all the information we have.

  • LG X30

This is exciting. LG is working on their first 11.6 inch display and the their documentations sees some nice specifications. The X30 will have a 1366 x 768 resolution, probably a new Intel Atom processor and weigh in at only 2.1lbs.

  • HP 210

A bunch of files on random HP global sites feature a new model number 210, and we’re quite sure it refers to a new netbook release. It seems that it would be a significant upgrade from the current 110, and will probably feature a pine trail processor.
