Acer 532h with Intel Pineview processor
Although it hasn’t been launched officially yet, news is out that Acer’s upgraded Aspire 532h features the Intel Pineview N450 processor. The Pineview is Intel’s new processor upgrade to its Atom series, and we’ll be discussing how much of an upgrade it actually is in the next few posts.
Acer’s update pages feature information regarding the Aspire 532h. There is a mix of specifications.
Specs: 10.1” 1280 x 720 display (or 1024 x 600), Atom N450 processor, Intel GMA 3150 graphics, 1GB RAM, 160GB / 250GB HDD, 3-cell battery, 5-in-1 card reader, 0.3MP webcam, 3x USB, VGA out, audio jacks. Optional Bluetooth. Windows 7 Starter.
The colors it’s available in seem to be black, red, blue and silver. The indicative pricing is about $490. We don’t think the new processor will be worth it though, judging from intial reactions and tests. Keep reading over the next few days for more info.
