Acer frameless notebook hitting mid-2010?

Companies are constantly trying to outdo one another with unique offerings. And while they may not always be practical or see release after being announced, we think they are super-cool :)
The latest to fit into this is Acer’s impending frameless notebook with no back casing. This will be combined with a touch keyboard and a glass substrate display (substrate is just the base surface on which the circuitry exists). What Acer will do is paint the back of the substrate panel so as to allow it to be the cover.
Acer’s got an ambitious target for somewhere in the latter half of 2010. There’s no word on pricing yet. We’ll keep you updated.
