Meet the new Pine Trail Netbooks

Intel just recently made the official announcement regarding their new Pine Trail range of processors for netbooks, and already we’ve had loads of information released about impending netbooks featuring them. We’re sure to see many, many more at the CES, but for now we’ve rounded up all the netbooks we’ve heard about in the past week or so. The links lead to more information about each netbook.

  • Dell Inspiron Mini 10v Netbook – Although the model number remains unchanged, the new generation Minis will feature the new Pine Trail N450, longer battery life and configuration options like  HD display, TV tuner, and GPS.
  • HP Mini 210 Netbook – Although there’s been no official announcement, leaked promo shots and premature product listings have given this one away.
  • Fujitsu MH380 Netbook – This one has been officially announced in the Philippines. The only information in the US is on the FCC website.
  • Samsung N150 and NB30 Netbooks – We don’t have confirmation on these netbooks running the Pineview processors, but information on them popped up on the FCC website, and we would be very surprised if they don’t feature the Pine Trail.
  • ASUS T101MT Tablet Netbook – Again, we’re not sure that this one will feature the N450, but will be surprised if it doesn’t.
  • MSI U130 and U135 Netbooks – Two pretty similar netbooks, both with Wi-Max capabilities.
  • MSI U160 Netbook – We only have pictures of this one, but boy are they nice!
  • ASUS Eee PC 1001P, 1005P and 1005PE Netbook (with review) – A bunch of not-so-exciting netbooks from ASUS with not much of an upgrade barring the processor.
  • Toshiba NB300 and NB305 Netbooks - Toshiba is working on two 3G-capable netbooks, which we think will probably feature the Pine Trail range of processors.
  • Lenovo S10-3 and S10-3t – We found these on FCC.

Phew! That’s a whole lot of netbooks to look forward to. At our count, we’ve got 16 and Intel claims to have won 80 design orders, so there’s a whole bunch more coming. We hope they feature additional upgrades, and not just the processor chip.
