MSI Wind U230 – Now available

There’s been a slew of releases of souped up netbooks in the recent past. Just a short 3 months ago, we looked at the best gaming netbooks out there and the U230 found mention even though it hadn’t been released yet. The netbook is available in two models – the 033 and the 040. It’s a next generation to the MSI U210 and the higher end model, the 040 scores with an upgrade in quite a few departments.

The MSI Wind U210 and U230-033 are about $10 apart, and for that upgrade you get the ATI Radeon HD3200 instead of the X1250. The 040 features the same 12 inch LCD screen but new X2 L335 processor. How much more beneficial it is, we don’t know though because it runs at the same 1.6GHz clock speed. Also included is a 320GB hard drive instead of a 250GB one. The models are $45 apart. We’ll have a review up soon.
