Samsung may wrest no.2 crown from ASUS in 2010
According to sources from makers of netbook components, Samsung stands ready to surpass ASUS in terms of number of netbooks sold in 2010. Some of these component partners have forecast 7 million units of Samsung netbooks to be shipped, whereas others are saying it will be 10 million. ASUS aims to ship about 6 million Eee PCs in 2010.
Even though ASUS was the first company to have launched a netbook over 2 years ago, Acer soon rose to the forefront as the number one seller. Acer is forecast to ship 12 million netbooks in 2010, and maintain its status as numero uno. However the lightning growth of Samsung will be a cause of worry for other netbook manufacturers.
Samsung have excelled with their product, right from the NC10 through to the N140. Their netbooks feature snappy performance, great keyboards and quality screens. Read some reviews here.
